Still not sure what you’re going to do to keep your kids entertained all week during the March Break? Have no fear, there are loads of March Break activities happening in and around Barrie.
Here are a few to get you started …
1. SPECIAL EVENTS & ACTIVITIES @ BARRIE PUBLIC LIBRARY
All Barrie Public Library locations, including Downtown, Holly, and Painswick will have a number of exciting, free events taking place during March Break. This year’s lineup will include magic shows, escape rooms, Spy School, and more!

2. MARCH BREAK ESCAPE @ FRIDAY HARBOUR
Friday Harbour is an ideal destination to escape the winter blues and enjoy some much-needed rest and relaxation. During the March Break, Friday Harbour offers various family-friendly activities, including ice skating, snowshoeing, tobogganing, and bonfires.
Families can also enjoy special events each weekend with fire performers, ice princesses, treasure hunts, and more.

3. MEET-AND-GREETS AND LIVE SHOWS @ THE GEORGIAN MALL
Mabel Moon is headed to The Georgian Mall this March Break! The mall will also have sports camp challenges in the courtyard by Sephora, My Lil Gems will be hosting bracelet-making workshops and retailers will be offering promotions.

4. MARCH BREAK EVENTS @ TANGER OUTLETS
This year, Tanger Outlets is offering free shows for families to enjoy during the March Break.
The event promises to be an exciting and memorable experience for both parents and kids with a wide range of entertainment. Highlights include magic shows, meet and greets, a Reptile Zoo, and more.

5. NORDIC CENTRE @ SCENIC CAVES
March Break is a great time to get out and enjoy some of the last few weeks of winter weather and Scenic Caves is a great place to do that.
Activities include cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, Southern Ontario’s longest suspension bridge, scavenger hunts, the children’s playground, and more. When you’re ready for a break from your adventures, defrost in the warm-up cabin or roast spider dogs and s’mores at the outdoor fire pit!

6. FAMILY FUN (AND SUPERVISED CARE) @ TREETOPS PLAYGROUND
Treetops Playground at the Bayfield Mall is a great place for kids to burn their energy, especially during the cold winter months. The only problem you’ll have here is trying to convince your kids to leave. The bright, open layout at Treetops makes it easy to keep an eye on your kids while they play to ensure they’re staying safe and having fun.
If you’re looking for some time to yourself, you can pay a little extra for supervised “playcare.”
7. ADVENTURES IN TIME TRAVEL @ SAINTE-MARIE AMONG THE HURONS
The Adventures in Travel event at Sainte-Marie Among The Hurons is a special event that offers visitors the opportunity to experience history in a fun and interactive way.
During the Adventures in Travel event, visitors can participate in a variety of activities including storytelling, canoe-making demonstrations, making your own cornhusk doll or clay okie, and more. If you want to extend your day, head over to Discovery Harbour for even more activities, like exploring a shipwreck, guided tours, musket demonstrations, and more.
8. POTTERY WHEEL SESSIONS @ CREATIVE CAFE
This event is recommended for kids ages 8 & up to explore their creative side. Participants will learn how to use a pottery wheel and have a chance to produce two pieces each.
Creative Cafe also has a great selection of premade pottery items that you can paint, as well as canvas painting and glass fusing.
9. MARCH BREAK @ HORSESHOE RESORT
Horseshoe Resort is the ultimate destination for anyone looking for a fun-filled day trip or overnight getaway. With a wide range of exciting activities, you are sure to have an unforgettable experience, whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned pro.
