Recently, Canada introduced a groundbreaking law that mandates Google and Facebook to compensate Canadian news publishers for featuring their content on their platforms. It’s a bold move aimed at supporting and sustaining our vibrant news industry.
But, the response from Google and Facebook has been unexpected …
In light of this new legislation, both Google and Facebook have made the decision to remove Canadian news content from their platforms entirely.
This means that there will be a noticeable change in how we, as Canadians, discover and consume news.
