What is it?
Newcomer Career Conversations offers opportunities for people in Simcoe County to connect with others who are learning English communication skills, with a focus on employment, entrepreneurship and business topics. Attendees will learn how to communicate effectively, prepare presentations and participate in oral activities guided by experienced volunteers. They will gain business contacts, practice career focused conversations, and develop an understanding of Canadian business culture and the job market. Also, learn how to access and navigate the correct and suitable resources in the Barrie and Simcoe County ecosystem that will help them thrive.
