9:00 am to 1:00 pm Free Art Activity with Art by Alexandra. Create a beautiful butterfly using oil pastels. Find her setup by the Fab Tray Alleyway near P_ZZA
10:00 am Free Yoga Class with Nook Yoga on Dunlop Street near Meridian Place
10:00 am to 2:00 pm Drop by 93 Dunlop Street East, near the Swift Mural in the Lakeshore Mews Alleyway, to find Amber from Drawing House and try your hand at painting with water colours
11:00 am The Expedition Project popup by artists Jocelyn Chassie, Ryley James and Kiara Edwards: working over the summer to create a collaborative mural project, this Saturday will your last chance to see them creating in person, before the work is unveiled at Spare Room Barrie on September 16th.
1:00 pm to 5:00 pm Paint or write on smooth stones with Lewis the Artist. Create a keepsake for yourself or someone you cherish. Find them setup by the Fab Tray Alleyway near P_ZZA

Block 10thThe Downtown Barrie BIA is excited to announce and present a Gordon Lightfoot Tribute as part of the upcoming Open Air Dunlop on Saturday September 9 2023 for the entire day. The tribute will include ‘Sound and Sight’ of Gordon Lightfoot’s influential musical career.
Local musicians will be performing at Downtown venues from 9am – 10pm with Gordon Lightfoot influenced and inspired set lists. 9am – 10:30am:  Homestead Bakery12-noon – 1:30pm: Kenzington’s Burger Bar1:30pm – 3:00pm: The Queens Hotel3:00 – 4:30pm: Donaleighs Irish Public House & CW Coops5pm – 6:15pm: Meridian Place Stage, Downtown Barrie presents: Jerry Leger, A Gordon Lightfoot Tribute Performance7pm – 8:30pm: Flying Monkeys Craft BreweryDusk (~8:30pm): Meridian Place Stage, Barrie Film Festival presents: Gordon Lightfoot: If You Could Read My Mind

Block 12thAlso on September 9th, The Barrie Kiwanis Club is having a  ‘Kiwanis Children’s Day‘  from 10 am to 3 pm at Meridian Place.  Free and geared to children 12 and under and their parents.   Check out ‘Zoo to You’ animals, reptiles, mammals and exotics and a ‘Stay Safe’ presentation from the Barrie Police and Fire departments.  Face Painting,  Arts & Crafts and much more!Block 15th

We’re so grateful to the artists donating their time and skill to bring positivity and hope to this space. Stop by today to see @brunosmoky @shalakattack @whos_one and @aotr_murals in action. Thanks you to @nbq_canada for donating the spraypaint for this uplifting project. And to the @unitycommunitycleanup crew for cleaning the alleyway. Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.
