Post COVID-19 GUIDELINES FOR
Message from Workplace Safety
To support employers and workers in remaining safe in the workplace during the COVID-19 outbreak, we worked closely with Ontario government and Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development (MLTSD) and developed a series of more than 50 sector-specific guidance documents. (link)
As the rate of infection decreases, the province will lift emergency measures and allow businesses to return to regular operations. WSPS has developed some post-pandemic resources to ensure safe business resumption, and the highlights are:
- Post Pandemic Business Playbook (PDF) – A starter guide to restarting a Post Pandemic business
- Post Pandemic Checklist: For Businesses Operating as Usual (PDF)
- Post Pandemic Checklist: For Businesses Returning After Shutdown (PDF)
- Post Pandemic Checklist: For Businesses Returning after Working Remotely (PDF)
My job is to connect with small business to ensure they have access to free information, tools and resources they need to work safely. Many of these resources can be accessed through our Small Business Centre. To address the special needs of business during and after pandemic, we have some customized services:
- Online health and safety presentation for small business via Zoom/Skype/Adobe
- Virtual Safety Connection on multiple health and safety topics
- Duty Consultant at dutyconsultant@wsps.ca working from 7am to 7pm, Monday to Friday.
- Join your economic recovery team and provide free health and safety resources
If you have any questions please let me know.

Bill Chen, MSc., CRSP
