The Chamber wants your feedback

Hello everyone,

As you may know I’m on the Barrie Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and I’m co-chairing a committee that is collecting feedback on small business about the challenges and barriers to business that we face. This initiative is called “Too Big To Ignore” and was launched by the Ontario Chamber of Commerce to allow them to gather province-wide feedback so they can help advocate on our behalf.

Save the Date: Here is your chance to be heard!

Join us for a roundtable breakfast on Tuesday July 26th, from 7:30 – 9:00 am, to give your feedback on small business challenges. A link for registration will be provided next week.

The three top obstacles to small business in Ontario that have been identified by the Ontario Chamber of Commerce are:

1. A Lack of Access to the Workers We Need
2. Key Infrastructure Gaps
3. The Rising Cost of Doing Business

Our aim is to engage businesses and other stakeholders around the issues that small business experience.

The insights and feedback captured from the local Small Business Roundtable Consultations will be shared with the OCC, and will inform a final report to be released during Small Business Week in October 2016.
